Sandy Lee
Sandy Lee is the current Area Director for CMDA DC, whose purpose is engaging, and equipping the local medical school students and healthcare professionals to shine their Christian faith in their campuses and communities. Her current passion is mentoring young healthcare professionals living in the metro DC area. She also taught high school English and worked as the college counselor at Rift Valley Academy in Kijabe, Kenya from 2010-2016. In 2016, Sandy Lee started a college coaching service entitled Mirae (translated “future” from Korean) Consulting to advise students through the college application process. She has received a M.Ed. in Secondary Education from University of California, Los Angeles and a BS in English Literature from University of California, Los Angeles. She has also taught in Boston Public Schools at Boston Latin Academy before she took time off to be a full-time mom. She was also a National Endowment for the Arts Summer Scholar at Trinity College in Connecticut in 1993. Sandy considers her greatest joy is being a mom to her two adult children, Kyle who with his wife Hope resides in the Chicago area and her daughter, Aly who lives in Pittsburgh. She also considers being wife to her best friend/husband Burton a gift from the Lord. Sandy, inspired by Barnabas of the New Testament, desires to be a woman of encouragement, providing safe places and outlets for rest, renewal, healing and joy.
